Having lived with wooden wheels I am glad they switched to steel wheels.
Trying to find puddles and places to hose down the wheels when the spokes got loose on a tour made for a bad day (the water made the wood swell and stopped the rattling until they dried out again). And repairs to them are expensive these days because it is a lost art. But they are pretty. |
