I didn’t disassemble this engine so having trouble figuring out a part.
Shroud was taken apart and know what to do there but having trouble identifying the part in foreground……thought I could but no success. Does it go on top of longer one….
Thanks in advance.

Here's the different types of shrouds for the early 911...

the 914-6 is just like the 911T 2.2 one

the other part you have was used on some of the later FI engines 2.4, the 2.7 and 3.0

The early 2.0L engine didn't have the extra oil cooler vent in the shroud

good thing for the 914-6 to have the later shroud for more cooling over the oil cooler
