I have not checked in here in over 6 years (sorry). Since the Blowout. (car not me). I hope everyone is doing well and I would love to hear from friends, old and new. Cleaning out the garage today and I remembered I had a 914 sitting in there. Car is currently in Maryland (with me) engine, transmission etc. still In York PA 6 years later.... I have not even looked at my car for those six years. I just pulled the car out of the garage with my pickup truck. Go figure it would rain for the next 48hrs. I need to do something with it.
Now I have to decide its fate..... No reason to keep a car that NEVER Moves... Options are 1) sell it 2) part it out 3) put a new engine in and see what new problems there are 4) make it into a flower bed 5) wear a mask and drop it off at Zach's house 3am *p.s. I miss you guys (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) **p.p.s. for those peeps that don't know me I am just as nuts as anyone here.... http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?aut...blogid=484& |

Thanks for the kind words all.
Glad we were able to source one of Brad's (914 LTDs) last 4 reinforcement kits. (There's only 3 kits left on ebay folks!) They repairs are extremely solid. In some cases, internally, not pretty. However with the external body repairs, I put the 100% effort in - I don't want some body guy later going "WTF!", haha. Reading back through this thread, this cars come a LONG way! When I met Joe, I saw a little rust around the rear floor and said "easy peasy, this wont take long!" Jokes on me, the entire bottom 5" of the car has been replaced now. Left on the list: -Outer firewall -Odds and ends. -Reinforcement kit. -Drop the subframe to knock out a couple patches (This will complete that clip repair) -Prime and seam seal everything. -See Joe smile (hopefully!) P.S. Thanks to Epstein for the metal. Rear hood, side skirts and the orange quarter - all a huge aid in this car seeing the road again. Jared Back to work! (.......after the chiropractor!)
