After much work I finally got engine in and running reasonably well. Unfortunately got a leak from the engine mounted oil cooler. Note: I am running minimum engine tins. No tins directly mounted to chassis.

Question is: can I expect to be able to remove the shroud and access/replace the oil cooler with the engine in car or am I resigned to pull the engine again?

Thanks in advance

I think you can do in chassis...

It might require removal of the two stupid long 6X1 studs that hold the cooler on.

This might throw a monkey wrench into the mix. Have one snap off and you will be pulling the motor.

I'd pull the drivetrain for better access.

Just leaving the engine tin to body seal out of a bug is a fatal mistake down here in hell.

You WILL overheat the engine!

I would worry the 914 is similar.
