I don't have anything in front of me, but I do remember that in 76 there was one more 914-6 built by the factory. They pulled a 4 cylinder chassis from the line and put all the six parts on it. It may have been a special wish car. I think it is the only factory six with the big ugly bumpers.
So the one you list may be the last official factory six, but it may not be the actual last factory six. |

Since it had to be exported to Japan at some point they usually go off of the first registration date and it was registered as a 1976. When DMV inspected it they gave the option to leave it or correct it to its actual MY with the Porsche Specs paperwork since that technically said 1971 so I did just that. Wonder if that was the case. |
