Turns out my 1973 wiring harness has a 1973 snorkel. Who would have thought. I just discovered, after snaking the harness through the firewall, that my 1974 chassis wants a 1974 snorkel. Another unanticipated revelation.
Anybody have one in good condition? The later model snorkels are longer and have a much larger seal on the forward end. Also, looks like 914rubber only sells the early version. George This is the one I need: Not this one: |

How important is it that the snorkel is complete. I tore the crap out of mine trying to thread it onto the harness. The two end grommets are in good shape but the tube between them is torn in half.
Thanks. George |
