there were thousands of these things in my childhood of the 1960s.
i can still remember riding to school with my friend's mum driving one while we played with the ashtrays on the back of the bench bucket seats driving her crazy.

i miss our roads full of americana with the steering wheels on the wrong side.
these days its just a blizzard of oriental and germanic SUVs with headlights that looked like they did 15 rounds with mohammad ali.

thanks for the link mr. b

they have a page on all the aussie versions. neat.

https://www.valiant.org/ausval.html

i still remember the aussie version of the dodge dart two door.
was called a hardtop here. hot version was called a pacer.
complete with go fast decals like 914s had.

all ended with the last gen valiants that were designed here (sort of).
particularly the aussie charger which was a neat car.
much smaller than USA chargers.
and even smaller than the legendary mad max style aussie ford hardtop 2 doors.
the chargers had straight sixes with triple carbs. they were swift and handled suprisingly well.
