Or on a -6. The torsion springs on the engine lid don't hold it fully open (or at least mine never have).
Without it, if the engine lid is open and I open the rear trunk, it will contact the engine lid. Especially the round latch bar, putting a very nice scratch on the trunk lid. Most likely a very quick design 'improvement' after customer complaints. |
