I'm just now getting my 914-6 GT replica running and will likely be using it for track day events and some street use. It has 2.7 CIS conversion with a Tri-Mil muffler (dual in single out) and headers. I'm looking for a muffler with more sound and exhaust flow. Any ideas on options or recommendations?

I'm not happy with the work I have done for the mufflers. The slip joint is just that. No matter what I did it just would slip off. Like when trying to work up it's location or when tightening the braces or just fiddling with it. It never was anything solid. Now with a single brace and springs it doesn't slip off anymore but I still have some stuff to learn about it.
Now with a single brace and springs it doesn't have any tendency to slip off. I'm still working on spring tension a way to stabilize the clamps on the muffler. |
