I haven't installed exhaust yet, working on cables.
I don't have a picture from my tear-down as to how the Speedo/Clutch cables were suspended. Anyone have a reference photo they can share??? |

In case I wasn't clear...
It looks to me that halfway from the firewall to the clutch roller there is a spot on the engine case that wants to accept a screw. And my guess is that I need a bracket to act as a sling to support the Clutch and Speedo cables. On 914Rubber I see what looks like a leather sling, something that I can easily make myself. |

I mount the speedo cable with a loop clamp on the trans side cover at the12 o'clock position. Keeps it away from the heat exchangers. The strap you see on 914 Rubber is a reproduction of a strap that was used in the engine compartment to support the accelerator cable. |
