I'll be starting mine up Friday for the last trip of the year. One more trip before the roads get salted till spring. Should be in the 20s and the car has no heat. Bracing! Will be headed up near Robs place on the Eastern Shore for the weekend. @beatnavy

Last few years there's been so little snow, and little corresponding brine/salt, that I've been able to drive the teener a fair amount through the winter. If that changes this winter she's staying inside. When I lived in Virginia I'd drive her to work in all kinds of weather. One day I was under the car and looked at a ball joint I'd replaced just one year early - totally rusted from the brine (IMG:style_emoticons/default/hissyfit.gif) No more all weather driving.... |

I ende dup not driving mine to the party this weekend - took the Jetta instead. Wanted heat! It was a good thing too. On the way home I noted that Maryland had already brined the HECK out of I83. Entire roadway was white from Baltimore all the way to the PA border. I guess they were worried about black ice or something with the cold snap, but I don't think it was wet at all.... Who knows, I'm just glad I did not have to drive the 914 over that crap. Zach |
