Time has come for me to pass along my 914-6 project. My back will physically not allow me to work in the positions necessary to complete this project.
To gain some reference on the status of this project please click on: *FORUMS *Restoration and Build Threads Roll down list to Build-Off Challenge - Vysoc / Yellow Sub This will give you some insight to what has been done and what needs to be done. It should be noted that the chassis is a 1976 - VIN 4762900508. The chassis has a clean Georgia Title. The Flat Six engine you may have seen in the rebuild thread HAS been SOLD, there is no engine with this project, (there are two Transmissions). This chassis has fiberglass flares in place and the engine bay is set up for a flat six Porsche engine. I have accumulated a great deal of parts, some real nice for this project. I have chassis strengthening and stiffening parts. The hell hole and tunnel have already undergone work, a new floor pan has been welded together and is ready to be welded into place. If you are handy with the MIG and/or TIG this could be a great opportunity to buy a solid chassis that comes with a ton of parts and two great working jigs. I am located in Young Harris, Georgia two hours north of Atlanta. The drive is an easy one North on 575 which rolls into 515, 4 lanes until the final 10 miles. I should also mention that the chassis is on rotisserie, I have access to a forklift to transfer it to the painting jig which would be easier to transport. I have compiled a detailed list of parts that are included in the "PACKAGE"/ sale. I am looking to sell this as a package and would prefer NOT to sell individual parts. I wish someone would pick up my package and make it into their own! If it does not sell that way I will then look at other alternatives. I believe this to be priced very fairly for what the new owner will receive. I am looking to sell this package for $4,000.00 obo Certified Bank Cashiers Check. Here comes the parts list, it is quite extensive: 2 - Working Jigs. Jig #1 - Rotisserie - Chassis is currently attached. Allows for full 360 degree rotation with locks at 90/180/270 and 360. 5" Casters allow chassis to be rolled around by a single person. Jig #2 - I call this my Painting Jig - This jig is welded up with 2" square metal tubing. The chassis attaches at the front and rear suspension hard points. The mounting point elevates the chassis 24" to 30" off of the floor level. A great jig for paint prep. This jig is also on large casters and is easy for one person to roll it around. ********PARTS LIST******** + EXTERIOR - ENGMAN Inside Long Strengthening Kit. - Weltmeister Chassis Stiffening Kit. - Original Front Hood. - Original Rear Trunk Lid. - Engine Trunk Lid with Torsion Bars. - Original Targa Top. - New replacement floor pan ready to be welded into place. - Additional Center Tunnel, not necessary but I bought it many years ago. - Additional Front trunk base sheet metal, not needed but I bought it "just in case". - NOS Battery Mount Tray in primer, ready to be welded in place. - 5 Doors: 1 Pass Door Skin/ Both Original Doors/ and two doors that I bought to bring up to a higher standard. - 2 NOS Jack Point Reinforcement Plates & 4 NOS Jack Donuts, these attach to the floorpan at the corners. - 2 NOS Trunk Pivot Sidewall mounts. - 2 NOS Jack Posts and 1 NOS Jack Post Plate not needed but in package. - 1 NOS 914-6 GT Ducktail Spoiler (loose never attached). - 3 Sets of Center Valences in various conditions - fiberglass - one is GT. - 2 Front fiberglass bumpers (Rudolph?). - 2 Rear Bumpers (Steel) 1 has the rubber top and I may have other rubber top piece. - Bumper Dog Bones. - 1 Rear Window in good shape. - Trunk and Front Hood latches. - 2 Fuel Tanks; one is Very Good Condition the other will need the inside cleaned up. - 1 set of Fuel tank rubber side mounts. - 1 Driver's Side Door mirror. - 2 Vitaloni Door mirrors. - 2 Fog Light Grills. - 5 USA Tail Light Lenses & Housings in various condition. - 4 Amber front Turn Signal lenses used. - 2 NIB Audi smoked (ROW) running lights. I don't have room for the whole project, but if you decide to split it up, I'd love to buy a few parts from you....especially that dash.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drooley.gif)
