So kind of at a crossroads right now with the 6. Have just had the pans restored to original configuration and do not want to add holes back to the floor. Want to use the normal seat base arrangement for driver and fixed seat for passenger as per original in 1970. I don't take passengers on the track but may title and street the car on occasion. I don't mind having two sets of seats per se (one street one track) but definitely do not want to add back side mount and drill holes in the floor again.
Any advice from this fine collection of 914 gurus? Attached thumbnail(s) |

Recaro Pole Positions, there's a seat bracket that adapts it to the stock sliders.
If you want them to look vintage then find a set of Scheels or Konigs, also use stock sliders. Those are the plug and play options, but both not cost conscious. You can of course just do the drivers side, also an option, just not sure on the plug and play aspect, lots to choose from on https://www.classiccarseats.com/ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer3.gif) |
