OK, guys. Here we go again. I just bought the AUTO ATLANTA 'Euro Turn Signal conversion assembly', which is a set of two bulb holders made from stock aluminum sheeting and bent to (supposedly) conform to the lower section of the US type turn signal assembly housing. After quite a bit of trying to make them fit, I finally gave up and am turning to the forum (once again) to find out exactly what's going with this supposedly "...easy conversion set that has satisfied thousands of Auto Atlanta purchasers"...?
It's pretty clear that however they are supposed to 'easily fit' the turn signal housings, they absolutely do not. Any help with this annoying matter would be most appreciated. Frankly, I'm starting to get a teensy bit irritated with some of the items I've gotten from AUTO ATLANTA (including a pricey replica 914GT double grill engine cover that was rather hastily and sloppily put together), recently. Nuff sed, but any insights on this would be helpful... |

Wondering how good the alloy is as a reflector ? ,the shitty cheap plastic ones that AA and Camp 914 used to sell had no reflector ,my set got binned for that reason, this one wire type will need to be a good fit so they earth properly to the housing , I would suggest a separate earth wire would sort it that's what I did . Got mine from a vender member on here but don't think he makes the parts anymore but my pic shows a proper reflector and fitted easy and worked 100%, the only thing I did was to drill the light housing to fit the cast in pins of the housing ,these units are a tight push fit into the housing ,nice and bright during the day which is big safety consideration IMO. IMO this guy made the best handmade units around as attachment to shows. |
