I was putting together a shifter assembly from parts when I noticed that the two shifter levers I had were different lengths at the ball end. Now I am confused as to which one I should use and am hoping someone can help me. Has anyone seen this before? The car I am making the shifter assembly for is a 1971 six. Does the six have a different shift lever than the four?

I added the Weltmeister SS kit to my 6; we converted the original 6 transaxle to side-shifter (Dr. Evil (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)) and then we took the Weltmeister shifter arm, cut it and welded the stock 914 shift arm to it so it looks 100% stock but the shift throw is about 2/3 of what it was originally. I like it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
