I would like some advice as to the best accelerator cable mount and location for a 74 type 4 i am working on. i've only owned fi so any help will help. Also is there a certain cable shroud part that holds the cable shroud to the mounting bar allowing little to no resistance for the cable to move freely. Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sawzall-smiley.gif)

Sorry, that was what we call a thread drift and has little to do with your thread.
He's using what look like IDF bodies to run a fuel injection system and one of the things they will commonly have is a method of adding auxiliary air during warm up. The FI knows to add fuel, and an AAR (auxiliary air regulator) is an intentional vacuum leak during cold operation to add the extra air the fuel needs. The old school ones installed on L-jet equip cars had a heater in it to close the valve. What he has installed is a modern computer controlled one that does the same thing better. I mistakenly though he was using it as an IAC (idle air control valve) which rapidly adjusts idle on cars with a single throttle body. I've never gotten an IAC valve to work properly on an ITB (individual throttle body) set up hence my question. It has NOTHING to do with carburetors or your linkage questions. Starting a drift is considered poor etiquette and normally I would simply PM the member to answer my questions. When I see something I believe other members might find value in, I will commit minor thread drift... I apologize for doing this in your thread! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ninja.gif) |
