As I get to know and love this 914 I bought back in July. I was looking around underneath yesterday and noticed an oil drip around a part I don't really know what it is??

Sorry just not that familiar with these cars thought maybe some of you could tell me a bit about what I'm looking at and where oil might be coming from..

I think its either a transmission breather or some kind of external filter??

Before I remove that clamp and look at what's there thought I might ask here first..

The oil seems to be coming from above it..Attached Image

assuming it's a minor leak, you might consider leaving it. keep your eye on the trans oil level.

It's not a huge job to repair if you decide to get it fixed.
