Wife told me last weekend she needed a cup holder before she would ride with me again. I got the one below made for a chair but it was perfect for a 914.

I bought one of the 911 cup holders that is designed to mount to the seat rail. Here is a picture of it:
Then I took out the 6x1.0 screw in the knee pad below the heater controls, and replaced it with a stud and a long coupler nut. I bolted the cup holder to the coupler nut. That way I could swing it out of the way when not in use, and it was easy to reach from the driver's seat. Even a large Wataburger cup would fit with no problems. But it won't hold a can or bottle because it has no bottom. There are others out there that are similar with bottoms to support cans. After I put in the Cayman shifter, I moved the cupholder to the mount on the front of the shifter. |
