2 issues:
1) When I brake the front turn signal goes on along with the brake lights. 2) The flashing parking brake indicator also causes both left and right turn signal indicators to flash. From what I can tell from the electrical schematic both tie into the emergency light switch. Just wondering if I could get some advice before I pull the emergency switch to inspect for defects. Flashing relay is new. |

The brake/running light dual filament bulbs in the rear are the only place the brake and running light come together.
If the bulb is not grounded, hitting the brake will set a path from the brake filament through the running light filament and terminates in the front turnsignal dual filament bulb. With brake on, check if both filaments in the brake bulb are lit. |

One on with parking lights, 2 on with brake and pedal depressed. But discovered that with ignition off (key out) and right parking light on, when I press the brake pedal the ignition goes on (pump and gages activate). This only happens with the right parking light, not when left only is activated. Also when I turn on the left parking light only the left side turns on. When I turn on the right parking light, the right side and rear left turn on. Maybe a short in the turn indicator switch? Where should I start looking? |
