Swing car right and left changing the load on each side at steady state when noise present.
Accelerate and decelerate in a single gear allowing engine deceleration. (Changes load front to rear and changes power delivery direction through the transmission.) This is also done when noise is present. Does noise increase with speed? One of the two tests should alter the noise. Left to right points to wheel bearings and possible differential side bearings. Front to rear points to transmission internal. |
