Looking for a good ECU for a 1974 2.0L car. The Bosch part number is 0 280 000 043 or 044. If you have one, please let me know. Thanks

I can see this thread is causing some confusion, so let me try to explain. Yes, I am buying a '73 D-Jet system from Eric (Montreal914) and he has been up front about the system being untested and possibly not working. Yes, the ECU coming with Eric's system is for a '73 D-Jet (CU13X).
The reason I'm looking for a '74 ECU (CU14X) is just to hedge my bets on cobbling together a good working system. My reading of the excellent pbanders D-Jet analysis document recommends using '74 parts for a '73 engine due to parts availability. The '73 and '74 ECUs are not interchangeable. Also, I have a working 043 MPS and that, along with a working '74 ECU might be, in the long run, the best solution to getting a working D-Jet system in my car. If my reading of the issue is incorrect, I'm open to correction. Hopefully, I have not muddied the waters even more. I appreciate you guys helping and keeping me on the straight and narrow. Jesse |
