With time to debrief on last weeks shakedown, I am looking to try a change to staggered tire dim. Wonder if anyone is comfortable sharing their experience.
Currently have run 225/45R15's all round on 7inchers and 225/50R15 on 7's front and 8's rear. But all my running is on older tires so difficult to draw conclusion. Transitioning from DE to road racing. Basic set up: E-Production, less than 150hp, wide fender, welded diff, 916 brakes. 911 front. 2008 lbs car Appreciate any insight. Thanks, |

Great option, unfortunately looks like it has been discontinued by Hoosier.

Pretty sure GY bias slicks (and Hoosier too) are not allowed by many/most vintage orgs.

Pretty sure GY bias slicks (and Hoosier too) are not allowed by many/most vintage orgs. SCCA used to allow them. I have no idea if that is still the case though. In fact, that's the only reason the 23x9.5x15 even exist. They came to be because of a rule clause that only mentioned the max wheel width of 7" but not the max tread width. That's 10+ inches of tread width on a 7" rim: (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-179-1613773281_thumb.jpg) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads/post-179-1613773293_thumb.jpg) |
