Picked up a pair of 914-6 flapper valves today that were mounting on some very good heat exchangers today. There is no rust and no sign they ever saw use on an engine.
Dansk new 914 flappers are about $140 each. They will be offered for sale along with the exchangers once I determine a fair value. The exchangers have little metal missing around the pipes. pipes have coon deep rust pits but exhaust flanges are serviceable. Do no have pictures of them yet. Pictures to be uploaded shortly. I'll try to do a side comparison 4 vs. 6 I think there is a difference in angle of the arms. I have to dig up the parts. |

I'll try to do a side comparison 4 vs. 6 I think there is a difference in angle of the arms. I have to dig up the parts. As promised 6 cyl. up front 4 cyl. middle Bay window/ Vanagon rear These are all OEM parts I see no difference that would make 4 cyl. flappers un-usable on a 6 The arms are all at the same angle on intact 4 and 6 valves Adding the hole to a 4 makes a great substitute. The VW van parts are shown to illustrate the very different position of the arms. Sorry about the orientation. I took them with camera sideways and can't correct...can someone fix ?
