Does anyone have any experience with this heated windshield solution from the UK?
https://www.heatedwindscreen.com/products/p...lear-windscreen I have a GT clone with no heat or ventilation. It does have heated seats, and I would love a heated windshield for foggy morning drives. Yes, I know I can add back heat and/or ventilation, but I'm running headers going back to the stock set up would be both expensive and weighty. Perhaps someone has imported one or a UK member can weigh in on the performance of this windscreen. |

My car has no heat and I tend to run it year round as long as the roads arent salted.
Wear warm clothes, keep your windows cracked open. Have a rag in the car just in case, but fogging generally isn't an issue. A 914 can't spare the amps to run electric heated windshields. Not unless you put in a much larger alternator. I'm sure you are already pushing the limits with the electric seat warmers. I would suggest putting the heating system back in if the cold is starting to get to you. You won't notice the added weight when you are warm. I've been intending to take my own advice for like 5 years now but have not gotten around to it... Zach |
