I first used these while working at a Porsche dealership in the early 70's. I believe we purchased them from a VW dealer.
This little device slows down the heat getting to the head temp sensor and after initial warm up, it has no effect on running. $30. with 2 copper seal rings. Post included Does not include the head temp sensor. Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() ![]() |

More available. $30. with post It seems (?) that this might make the CHT sensor easier/faster to replace (if the extension stays in place)? What’s the likelihood that removing the CHT unscrews the extension, too? Interesting potential. Do you think this would be viable on our 1.8s vs the D-Jet cars? I am probably going to replace my CHT sensor with one that I got from Jeff Bowlsby as the insulation on mine is coming off. I will be purchasing the correct socket to remove a wired sensor. |

Enriching the mixture when engine is cold would be the same for the Ljet and Djet. It might be helpful to prevent damaging lean backfire common to the 1.8. Brad |

Hi Brad,
Just ordered one from the 914 Ltd website. After I ordered I noticed you had closed up shop. Can you still fulfill the order? |
