I did the usual 5 lug conversion, buying 911 struts, with shocks, from a 911 guy who said the struts and shocks were from a 911 T. I changed nothing but the struts and shocks. The ride was harsher than I wanted so I figured I would take the 914 shocks out of the 914 struts and put the 914 shocks in the 911 struts. The 914 shocks, on the right, do not fit in the 911 struts. The 911 shocks are on the left. As you can see, the ends of the shocks is different. What is wrong with this picture? Any idea about the origin of the yellow shock?

The yellow Koni is GAS, the Boge is OIL. Makes for a completely different ride. With GAS you will feel every crack in the road. Koni uses a standard size shock and custom fits the spacer. Makes for easy manufacturing.
