2400-2600 rpm stumble with partial throttle, stumble goes away under full throttle. Runs smooth at all other RPMs. Pulled the plugs, a little lean maybe?
Edit 3-17-25 I found a possible cause; worn distributor bushings causing a variation in the points gap. |

Oh, and did you get a dwell meter? Incorrect dwell can result in a real poor spark.
I have had the same ancient meter since I was 16 building my opel. I learned its importance by forgetting I had to 1/2 the reading of the v8 degree line. After college I drove my opel gt across the country like that back in the 1990s. Fouling spark plugs like you wouldn't believe. What a power adder when I finally figured out what was wrong! |
