I used this shop for my engine rebuild in 2022 not in Fullerton but not that far from you . Renato did a great job and and offered a very reasonable quote. He mainly builds hot VW but said he had no problem with my Type 4 ,he just doesn't do fuel injection only carburetors .

I just delivered a built 2.3 with full aftermarket EFI yesterday. Absolute beast of a motor that also accelerates from 1800 in 5th gear going uphill at 8000ft elevation and pulls past 6500rpm. EFI adds SO much to the drivability and day to day usability of the car that it shouldn't even be a question. |
