The engine cooling fan on the motor that came with my car has several broken fins/blades. Looking for a replacement i can only seem to find used part? Does no one produce oem style or aftermarket replacements for this? Is used my only option?
Sorry if this has been covered. Did not find anything in the search. |

Verify timing marks.
My 75 1.8 fan has a single mark only at base timing of 7-8. It did not have either the TDC mark OR the total timing mark of 27-30. The 73 2.0L fan I replaced it with had TDC white and total timing red. You need the TDC mark for leak down testing. Using a flexible dress tape measure 1/2 way round both directions (splint difference) and make a 2nd TDC mark for the opposing cylinders. |
