OK, once more with feeling….
This is the 74 that had the misrouted accelerator cable. That has been removed so now I have what I believe is the original accelerator cable, the arrow is pointing at it, which is good in stock in the tunnel. Even with vice grips on it, I can’t pull it out and it doesn’t really wanna move forward either. I’m going to have to remove this before I install replacement cable so any ideas or suggestions? ![]() |

Reminded me...
Heres one. OG cable came out of the tube albeit with a tug, but new cable wouldn't go in. Sound familiar. Tried ALL the tricks in the bag, but seemed like the cable end was hitting a wall with about 2-3" from end. Turned out a PO's errant sheet metal screw had pierced the tube and caused enough of a intrusion that it was no longer possible to feed the rod end through anymore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) ![]() |

Turned out a PO's errant sheet metal screw had pierced the tube and caused enough of a intrusion that it was no longer possible to feed the rod end through anymore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) There literally is never an end to the DAPO stories (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Thankfully I’ve not seen that one before but something to be aware of. Found a solution yet? I’m envisioning some terrible solutions. |
