OK, once more with feeling….
This is the 74 that had the misrouted accelerator cable. That has been removed so now I have what I believe is the original accelerator cable, the arrow is pointing at it, which is good in stock in the tunnel. Even with vice grips on it, I can’t pull it out and it doesn’t really wanna move forward either. I’m going to have to remove this before I install replacement cable so any ideas or suggestions? ![]() |

Turned out a PO's errant sheet metal screw had pierced the tube and caused enough of a intrusion that it was no longer possible to feed the rod end through anymore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) Found a solution yet? I’m envisioning some terrible solutions. If the motor was out, Id use a tool I made, a section of 3/16's rod about 36" long which I brazed a an 1" length of a 13/64 drill bit to. Its flexible enough to feed into the tube but stiff enough to chuck up in a drill & ever-so-carefully ream out any obstructions. But in this case I cut out a flap of the tunnel floor, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) As you can see in that pic it already had a hole in it so I killed two birds.
