OK, once more with feeling….
This is the 74 that had the misrouted accelerator cable. That has been removed so now I have what I believe is the original accelerator cable, the arrow is pointing at it, which is good in stock in the tunnel. Even with vice grips on it, I can’t pull it out and it doesn’t really wanna move forward either. I’m going to have to remove this before I install replacement cable so any ideas or suggestions? ![]() |

I like the creativity of the brazed drill bit solution. I was thinking along the same lines about cutting flap, maybe even from the front hump/steering gear area to access it from the front end but can’t remember off the top of my head if the rack, master cylinder, and other particulars of how that area aligns to the front of the tube. Didn’t notice the hole there. Good call to kill two birds with one fix - always impressed with your experience keeping em’ on the road.
