Hello,I am working on installing shift cables from a'97 Boxster.Any ideas on how to clamp the body of the cable ends? I cut the socket heads off and managed to thread the cable end with an M6 so I can use removable Heim joints.I have pictures of another member's brackets so that isn't the question. The first thing that came to mind were these clamp blocks for shaft supports. When I worked as a tool maker,I made many of these for different applications but I don't have access to a milling machine anymore.
Any ideas? The bore needs to be 28mmAttached Image Attached Image

I moved the starter to the other side to provide access to the crankshaft position sensor. Rather than pull the whole transmission to replace the sensor, all I have to do is pull the starter.

I actually do try to think of things like that! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
