Hello,
The right door (side view) mirror on my 914 is currently the flat/driver type (914-731-039-10), and I would like to replace it with a convex/passenger mirror (914-731-040-10). My first choice would be to simply replace the mirror glass with a convex piece, but so far I have only found vendors selling replacement glass for the flat mirror. Does anyone know of a replacement glass source for the convex mirror?

If the convex replacement glass is not available, then if I were to purchase the convex replacement glass for some random vehicle (ensuring it is larger than the 914 OEM mirror size), would a glass shop be able to cut this down to fit the 914 mirror?

Of course the other options is to purchase a new/NOS OEM convex door mirror (914-731-040-10), but my searches indicate that only the flat (914-731-039-10) mirror appears to still be available. If that is true, then I'll post a WTB in the classifieds forum.

Thanks,
Frank

Interesting - I didn't know such a service exists. Thanks for sharing - I will look further into this.
