I first used these while working at a Porsche dealership in the early 70's. I believe we purchased them from a VW dealer.
This little device slows down the heat getting to the head temp sensor and after initial warm up, it has no effect on running. $30. with 2 copper seal rings. Post included Does not include the head temp sensor. Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() ![]() |

Very popular item. Works very well on "lean cold running" Hi Brad , What is the part number on that CHT sensor and price ? Here is one I purchased already ,is yours the original one? ![]() Ron, the head temp sensor is not included as noted. Only the extension is offered. Along with others, 914Rubber.com has the temp sensors. OEM0280130012 They have them listed at $22.50. The OEM would indicate they were Original Equipment Manufacture. Brad |

Brad My mistake , I probably wouldn't need the extension here in California since it does not get that cold here . I believe the sensor I showed a photo of was purchased at 914 Rubber and says OEM-012 type so that's good to know as there is a bit of discussion on the forum about two different ones , one is recommended the other is not . Thanks |
