(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) Guys, I need your help bad---I am in the middle of fixing my clutch tube and need info for proper placement---
I did the search and the pics I found are not at the best angles for me to discern the placement-- I have it welded back up to the outer firewall--now it is where it snakes inside the tunnel with relation to the shifter mounting pad.... Is it along the bottom of the floor and angled from right side to left side BEFORE the shifter cutout?? Or is it actually seen in the cutout?? i.e.--does the shift rod go under it or over it or what???? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/confused24.gif) Help help help!!!! |

Just did this to a car this week. The tube starts out on the passenger side on the rear. It should stick out the back of the firewall about 32mm. It slowly transitions to the center about half way thru where there is a small bulkhead that it goes thru. You can see this with a small mirror and flashlite thru the rear access hole. It then continues to the drivers side and is held in place with two brackets that are welded to the tunnel in front ot the shifter. The accel cable tube is mounted just above it. Best I could tell, it runs under the shifter, but the mirror might just have made it look that way.
