Is it at all possible to bolt on a set of 1.7 or 1.8 heads to my 2.0? I'm not looking for power, just reliability, and I have a budget

Hey Dude
Hang on a minute.... My resto started with a valve adjust, if you think you can get away with a quick head job, pun intended, your wrong. Arm yourself with some materials that is needed like studs, or step studs, inserts (not heli coils). Check around some local shops, I love to do this type of work at the shop and if someone came in with all the hard to find -(time not charged on phone and wrong hardware) parts I would charge him a strait deal, probably would come out to half the price of a head. Depending on how the other studs are. Try it ! This is your best bang for the buck, worse comes to worse if all the exhaust studs just shits the bed, you still need heads. WBR Joe ps...your avtar is much better, the other one looks spooky (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/party.gif) |
