Is it at all possible to bolt on a set of 1.7 or 1.8 heads to my 2.0? I'm not looking for power, just reliability, and I have a budget

Britt, Why do keep asking for advice, and then ignore the advice you get? The advice you have gotten here is good, no, great advice. Using bus heads is a stupid idea. Like rich said, don't be afraid to try something new. Its how we learn. I fucked up a 283 in my 57 chevy (first attempt at a motor rebuild at 16 years old) when I put the rod caps on backwards. I learned the hard way, but you don't have to! You can't screw up those heads any worse than they already are by drilling and tapping.
