Dralf: Welcome to the group of Ohio 914ers. Don't under estimate your 914,it,s not unusual for these engines to do 150000 to 250000 miles with out the case being split. The most important thing is regular maintance. 3,ooo mille oil & filter change.and adjust valves. There is all the help you will ever need on the 914 club site.
