I am ready to start the new engine but........
I've been cranking the engine, but the oil light stays on. I'm pretty sure that I forgot to pack it when I assembled the engine... Any suggestions, or will I have to take the cover off the pump? Yes there is oil in it... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) How long do I crank before I get oil pressure normally? |

Loosen the filter so there's a visible gap, and crank the engine with the point wire disconnected 'til it leaks through the gap. Tighten the filter, and start the car. The Cap'n
