Wow!!!
Stopping power.

Using R-4 pads all around with Motul fluid.
Throw you foward braking. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif)

Can't wait to take it deep into the turns.

QUOTE (grantsfo @ May 17 2005, 01:29 AM)
here's my input. For track they are probably awesome. AX they are hard to modulate. Very easy to lock up at low speeds.

could be - i haven't used them.
but *typically* - the way track pads work is that - like race tires - they need a certain (high) temperature to work. they remain very grippy at elevated temps but have basically NO grip when cold.

Porterfield makes -4- compounds in sizes we care about.
there is the Race pad
there is the Endurance Race pad
there is the Vintage Race pad
there is the Street pad.

i'm thinking street is the hot ticket for AX, and i plan to try Vintage Race for DE.

your mileage may vary, but if you're using pads designed for the track on the street, or AX -- watch for that first stop!
