So who is going to sit and watch the Indy 500 parade? It's a big deal in our family. My parents are from there. We eat, drink and are merry. The longer the race takes the better in my view. The Dannica 500?
Sad that they have to put so much emphasis on her to SELL the 500. She is part victim to the media hype, though she is a party to it all. I'll root for her simply because it freshen's-up the 500, and she has legitimate talent....It's only the media over-expectation that bugs me. For ANY rookie to run this well is a huge accomplishement. If she runs the whole race and finishes, she deserves kudo's. Her effort however, shouldn't overshadow anyone elses effort (though it probably will, the media will see to it!). She has great poise on camera (from other hosting gig's), so little wonder she's a media darling. Andy |
