how do I disconnect them - just pull the plugs off - anything to worry about or just pull hard ? I don't want to damage them...thx for any advice

If you pull off the electrical connections they won't fire.....be careful as they are hard to find replacements and they are brittle from age and heat. Same with the rubberized boots that cover them.
