I built the lightest 914 in the history of mankind.

I took my 9 year old to see Herbie this afternoon.
Fun for the whole family:D
Actually more realistic than "Days of Thunder" (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
A lot of junk yard shots, but no 914s in the background.
I did spot a 924 sitting on the ground without wheels. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
In the big race finale, Herbie gets a hole in a valve cover. The mechanic runs over to a NEW BEETLE, pops the hood and pulls a v/c off to put on Herbie. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/screwy.gif)
And he wins the race:trophy:

You weren't paying very close attention. My 7 year old pointed out the tail end of a 914 in one of the newspaper flashes they had on the screen showing Herbies past... cute movie but not as good as the old ones.

My best,
Mike D.
