My wife and I are expecting our first child in Dec. I need (want) to upgrade from my '93 Chev P/U to a tow vehicle that can haul people comfortably as well. I have been going round and round in my mind looking at older Subs, Excursions, etc. I have always really liked the looks of the older RR LWB's, and it seems you can pick them up fairly reasonably. So here's the question: How do they do as tow rigs? Is the 4.2 adequate, or do I need more cubic inches to comfortably tow the teener or maybe a ski boat?
thanks BH |

I was in the market for one a couple of years ago and started to do a little research. I have always loved the way they looked but didn't know too much about them. The WWW is FULL of tales of woe concerning them. And this is what I found most disturbing: Consumers Report magazine siad that ,"for the money, just about any other SUV is a better deal". Those are some pretty strong words coming from that magazine, whose reputation is based on how non-biased they are. After reading that, I knew that if I bought one anyway, and it broke down, or turned out to be a POS, that I'd be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)
