I've got to replace the clutch in the 1.7 , but I don't plan to be using that engine for much longer than a year. Hopefully I will be rebuliding the 2.0 out of the wreck and putting it in there. SO I just taked to schucks and they have a clutch kit for $79. Pelican's 20 piece is $329. So what i'm wondering is would it be stupid to put in the cheaper one? If I were to get the 20 piece the idea would be to pull that when I rebuild the 2.0 and put it in with the 2.0.
Thanks, Eric (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |

I suspect that your FLAPS doesn't carry all the bushings, seals, etc that come with the Pelican kit.
I'm a cheap SOB. I admit it. But I freaking HATE doing a job twice. If it was me, and I was going to get a 2.0 motor, then get the 20 piece kit. Call around, though, and check prices. Both HPH and Paragon were very reasonable. Oh, get the 6 spring clutch disc, too. -Rusty (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) |
