Suggestions on selling an original 6? Options

Howdy - I've been lurking for quite a while hoping I would get the spark back to get my 914s back on the road, but it appears my wife is winning out with remodeling the house and my garage space is ever dwindling.

So here is my dilema and question. I have two 914s, a 71 914-4 and an original 70 914-6 that have been garaged for almost 20 years now. We also have way more cars than we need (7 at this time), and the pressure is enormous by the wife unit to eliminate cars.

So if I am going to sell, I want to sell both at the same time and just not look back. I have owned both cars for almost 25 years and this will be tough. And selling won't be as much about money, as about selling to someone who is as passionate as I was when I bought them.

So any advice anyone can offer about how I should go about this? I don't even know what the current value is. But I know if I sell I want to sell it all and not look back (i.e., sell both together). Its a hard thing to part with these. Any advice appreciated.

PS - Posting here because my neighbor is a passionate member and folks here seem to genuinely love these cars.

I would like to buy your cars...they would go to good, loving home. However I already have too many cars and the same issues of a family with teens in college and private High School, a wife going through the change- it's hard to keep holding onto what I've already got! Everyone just wants money! Call me-"Bank of Dad"

I really enjoy working on my cars - I have a full shop and all of the goodies to do what I want. I understand about motivation and time management- I think most guys at our age have to wait until semi retirement and family life slows down to get back into their hobbies. I see it all the time with my buddy’s hot rod shop. A guy finally get the kids through college, he and his wife become empty nesters and finally say's, build me a car- I’m too tired and just want to enjoy the thing.

For 25 years I have to respond to the question" Is it a Six?" This could be a time I could redeem myself- I've always bought cars and asked forgiveness later...
