Nice systems.

As far as tubes in preamp vs. amps, If I had to choose, I think I'd put the tubes as early in the system as possible. My preamp is actually a hybrid, a PAS3 with SS buffered outputs by Joe Curcio. Very nice and low output impedance. Even drives my tube amp, hehe.
