It looks like I'm actually going to have a full free day on Saturday the 13th.
Anybody wanna get together and do the P.V. Peninsula and beach cruise??? Maybe start at Point Fermin in San Pedro then end up in Hermosa, have lunch and then do it again back to Pedro. |

It is with great sadness that I must announce the passing of the desperado "Der Weisze Bandit". His passing came without a whimper or a clatter.
All went well with the alt transplant and the juices flowed again. However, during the valve adjust, it was noted that no clearance could be obtained on Intake #2. Despite extreme emergency procedures, it was determined that Mr. Intake no longer wanted to be part of the family and was packing to leave. The only noticeable effects were an inability to rev smoothly and a sporadic muffled "pop..pop". While his heart was still beating, it was not performing up to required standards. Der Weisze Bandit had always insisted on passing quietly into the past. His 31 years had been filled with joyous rides thru the desert underneath blankets of bright stars. He survived the WCC05 and the infamous Route 66 Classic. He was last motored thru the tall pines and twisty roads of Big Bear by the owner's son. While a transplant could have possibly extended his life another few years, interest has waned and the impetus for same cannot be stirred. The owner wishes no donations nor bags of rust be sent in his honor. For those of you who so desire, a wake will be held at Tri Alloy in Ontario, CA as the his heart and heads are melted into high spec aluminum sows to later be made into Coors "Silver Bullet" cans or Kias...whichever comes first. Date for said wake will be announced later. At 11:59 PM tonight, a moment of silence will be observed with my eyes closed and loud snore. It was a wonderful and joyous experience he bestowed in my life. "Cry not for me Germany"..................... |
