I am at the office now and do not have access to my data at home.
Does anyone know the diameter of the 1.7/1.8 versus the 2.0 exhaust pipes on the the heat exchangers for the 73-74 cars. If I remember correctly, the 1.7/1.8 are the same size and the 2.0 is a larger diameter pipe and the sheet metal "Heat Exchangers" are the same for all of that vintage...The only difference is the pipe size... 1.7/1.8 = ? diameter 2.0 = ? diameter Someone straighten me out... Thanks, 2-OH! |

I think the OEM exchangers the 2.0 is a little larger than the 1.7/1.8. But if you are talking SSI's I think they are the same diameter.
Other phsical differences is that the 1.7/1.8 kick up right before the muffler flange where the 2.0 does not. |
